Dr Chandni Prakash

Dr Chandni Prakash M.B.B.S, M.D (Psychiatry), Affiliate of FRANZCP

Chandni received her Psychiatry training at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi in 1993 and moved to New Zealand in 1997, where she has practised as a General Adult Psychiatrist. Chandni has been working in Auckland as a Consultant Psychiatrist in perinatal mental health since 2009 and perinatal de-addiction since 2019. She is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Department of Psychological Medicine, University of Auckland, with several publications. Chandni has been the Lead Clinician at the maternal mental health service in Auckland and is currently the Clinical Lead for the Pregnancy and Parental Service (PPS), the Auckland regional perinatal de-addiction service. Chandni lives in Auckland with her husband and two children, and her interests include Indian classical dancing and motorcycle riding.
