Dr Karen Wynter (VIC)

Karen studied Psychology, Applied Statistics and Education at Stellenbosch University, Cape Town, and the University of Cambridge, UK. After moving to Melbourne, Australia, she worked in public health at the University of Melbourne and Monash University. Karen is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Women’s and Children’s Mental Health, Department of Psychiatry, Monash University, and an Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Deakin University. She has a keen interest in modifiable risk factors contributing to perinatal mental health problems among women and men.
