Nicole has worked at the forefront of research, policy and practice in perinatal mental health for over 15 years. Nicole currently holds a Research Fellow appointment with the Australian Health Services Research Institute, University of Wollongong. In this role, Nicole is continuing to examine the effectiveness of innovative approaches to integrated perinatal mental health care, advocating for a greater focus on, and awareness of, perinatal mental health in service settings and the community, and extending her long-standing and highly successful national and international professional collaborations.

Nicole has been an Executive Committee member of the Australasian Marcé Society since 2019 and a co-opted Board Member of the International Marcé Society since 2020.
